Join the Lockheed Martin Testbed and Simulation (Tb&S) team that supports multiple programs across LM Space, building test racks, models, emulation and hardware-in-the-loop systems that checkout flight hardware prior to spacecraft integration.

This role is looking for a Hardware/Electronics Engineer with a strong interest in hardware design, test and software scripting. This position will write and integrate test scripts to verify the functionality of spacecraft hardware.

* Position requires periodic travel to other locations.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware.
5 - 9 years of professional experience for this role.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. US citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with a talent for computer programming or scripting.

• Broad range of electronic circuit design experience

• Experience using laboratory test equipment for hardware debug, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters and protocol analyzers.

• Experience writing and executing test procedures.

• Experience debugging electronics.
Desired Skills:
Experience/Exposure with any of the following is helpful:

• Cable/harness design.
• Broad range of electronic circuit design experience in areas such as analog, digital, microcontroller, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and power supply circuits.
• Communication protocols (i.e. MIL-STD-1553, TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, IEEE 488, DMA, PCIE, SRIO, XAUI, SPI, I2C, etc.)
• Developing software using text-based languages, such as Python, C/C /C#, Visual Basic.
• Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and schematic capture and PWB/PCB layout interface, generating a BOM (Bill of Materials) of required components/parts, and working with vendors for fabrication, assembly, and parts procurement.
• Hardware/Software integration, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshooting and repair cable setups, PWB/PCB, Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and a variety of electronic equipment.
• Programming Xilinx FPGAs with VHDL or Verilog
• Unix/Linux environments
• Hardware development life-cycle: requirements, design, development, integration and test, and maintenance.
• Software configuration management tools such as Git or Subversion.
• Procurement system knowledge.
• Willingness to learn new environments and work independently in a fast-paced development environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
