What does this role look like?



Supply Chain’s vision is to enable customer and mission success through supply chain strategies and execution that deliver superior operational program performance and create competitive advantage through continuous improvement. This role will offer you the following daily challenges:



• You will direct and manage all cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones
• You will make decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor in concert with the Lead SPM
• You’ll manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications
• You will be responsible for ensuring the supplier is following their manufacturing and production processes to ensure on-time delivery of critical hardware
• Develop and implement initiatives that drive efficiencies in the delivery, quality, and manufacturing of components and systems across multiple architectures
• Articulate and communicate subcontract and procurement status, risk & opportunity management, and issues, resolution / recovery plans to all stakeholders
• Collaborate with subcontract management team, to include RFPs, technical evaluations, risk assessment, and Basis of Estimate requirements through negotiations and subcontract award
• Identify and coordinate finance metrics supporting lead time and cost reductions

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Previous professional project management experience working in the development phase of a program, with the ability to develop and execute to schedules.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, as well as currently possess and maintain an active US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:

• Typical candidate will have Subcontract & Project management experience, as well as experience managing complex subcontracts, with a proven record of successful performance with a focus on mission success.
• Proficient in Truth and Negotiations Act (TINA) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR) guidelines, and LMAP
• Technical knowledge of space hardware products, and technical acumen with space programs and/or projects
• Understanding of and experience negotiating and securing funding for complex long-term agreements
• Demonstrated effective use of metrics to drive execution and measure progress
• Experience working in the development phase of a program
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering processes
• Proven ability to drive and inspire results/resolution of technical issues and successful outcomes through teamwork.

• Possess excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management.
