As part of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program this journey level position in the area of Deployed Reentry Systems will serve the Reentry transition of development programs into production, including support to the Mk7 Program. Among the typical assignments are: support of field centers and facilities and supporting the operational readiness and safety of the Navy's Strategic Weapons Systems; learning the craft of problem investigations, to include root cause analysis and corrective action implementation support; activities involving surveillance and monitoring of deployed systems, watching for changes or degradation to the system; developing new ideas for more affordable and efficient operations; benefiting from experts and other mentors to learn design and manufacturing aspects of deployed systems. A person who wishes to take on this assignment must be willing to learn voraciously, and to use the basic concepts learned through collegiate education where appropriate. Typical assignments may be short or long and may vary widely.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience and exposure to one or more Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions at the enterprise / SoS level, including:
a) Enterprise-level trade studies and/or enterprise architecture modeling
b) Mission-level requirements analysis and definition of top-level interfaces among major system components
c) SoS-level Integration, Test and/or Verification of requirements across major interfaces
d) Verification/ validation planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
e) Design reviews/ control gates
f) Mission Operations Support/Deployed System Support
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
Highly motivated and dedicated to completion of tasks to a high standard. The successful candidate must have strong technical skills. Candidate must have the ability to work well with own team, as well as other departments, organization, and customers.

Experience with procurement processes of DoD Hardware

Experience with hardware acceptance and qualification

Proposal and Basis of Estimate generation experience

Proficiency with presenting to customers

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
