Reports To: Quality Control Manager

Position Overview: The warehouse is a support function and our primary customers are internal to the company, the welders and civil crew. Our number one task is to ensure they have the necessary tools, consumables, and material to complete their jobs. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for controlling inventory and procuring materials for industrial construction jobs.

Job Duties:

  • Keep customer laydown/warehouse area and fabrication shop/year material receiving area clean and organized
  • Redline and report any discrepancies to engineering firm/LNB Quality Control Manager
  • Perform material takeoff in accordance with customer specs/common practice
  • Use positive material identification equipment/track alloy/chrome material
  • Receive and maintain material tracking. Report and organize all documents electronically
  • Assist welders in gathering proper material for fabrication and field installation
  • Manager warehouse assistant, tool room attendant, parts runner and employee transportation personnel
  • Work with accounting staff to ensure complete and accurate billing cycle
  • Coordinate pre-fab material movement for field install or shipment
  • Coordinate work with subcontractors (paint, inspection, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies/Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required and college/trade school certificate or degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years warehouse/shop experience
  • Experience using a variety of both hand and motorized tools and machinery is essential
  • Able to read isometric drawings
  • Familiarity with customer material specifications and process specifications per job
  • Familiar with all material identification markings and schedules/ratings (A105/S160/150#)
  • Excellent communication skills keeping an open line of communication with those who need to be informed
  • Must have good initiative with the ability and aptitude to be able to see something that needs to be done and doing it without being told
  • Sense of responsibility - assuming responsibility for your area and tasks
  • Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft programs with specific proficiency with Excel
  • Trained in operation of small equipment (i.e. forklift, telehandler, man basket, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of proper rigging safety

Potential Hazards:

  • Outside the majority of the time
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures
  • Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment
  • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels
  • Limited working surfaces
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time on a monthly basis for required tasks
  • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.

Essential Requirements:

  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of 2 miles per day
  • Standing
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel
  • Use of respirator if position requires
  • Driving if required to travel
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
