Overview
LMI is seeking a full-time Junior Technology Analyst. The position requires providing support to the Office of Strategic Intelligence and Analysis (OSI&A) Technology Watch and Forecasting (TW&F) cell in the areas of global technology research and development. This position requires an active secret clearance.

Responsibilities
The Junior Technology Analyst provides support for the Technology Watch and Forecasting branch Team Lead and assists in developing technical assessments that identify the military relevance, research opportunities, and policy recommendations for existing and future technologies to inform OUSD(R&E) decision-makers. Tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Provide program management support to the Deputy Director, OSI&A and the TW&F Team Lead through the facilitation of monthly meetings; weekly teleconferences, and routine interactions.
- Support the TW&F Team Lead in the preparation of contracting, funding, and requirements documents.
- Conduct targeted, detailed analysis of emerging and potentially disruptive technologies in support of technology watch and forecasting program objectives.
- Support the preparation of Horizon Scan reports upon completion of each Horizon Scan.
- Support the contextualization of technology trends and anomalies identified in the Horizon Scan and information identified by OSI&A.
- Support the TW&F Cell by attending, on a case-by-case basis, trade shows, conferences, symposiums, etc.
- Conduct research and analysis on a range of emerging technology or capability areas as well as the potential defense implications.
- Produce briefings, papers, reports, and talking points of research analyses/findings for various audiences of technical and non-technical customers.
- Provide support to SIAC product development.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) is preferred.
- Active secret clearance is required.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, briefings, and meeting moderation; and, willingness/desire to work across a broad range of technical areas.
- Ability to translate results into common digital formats.
- Ability to work independently with both junior and senior staff in a distributed environment while maintaining a strong commitment to deliverable schedules.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Previous DoD experience.
- Proficiency in technical research, an in-depth knowledge of technical resources, and writing technically detailed assessments.
- Experience in integrating external knowledge from various subject matter experts into actionable reports for senior staff.
- Experience in research and application of emerging and disruptive technologies.
