Job Summary and Qualifications
The Coord Dietitian plans and delivers nutrition care to patients in our Family Birth Center. We are looking for a highly skilled individual who feels promoting the overall wellbeing of patients is as meaningful as we do. In this role:
- You will comply with the facility’s guidelines for nutritional intervention to assure that patients at highest nutritional risk, receive appropriate care in a timely manner.
- You will assess the patient’s nutritional status according to department, facility and regulatory agency standards to determine appropriate nutrition care plan.
- You will demonstrate the ability to tailor treatment based on unique requirements of patients’ age and developmental needs.
- You will participate in patient care conferences and multi-disciplinary team meetings to provide nutrition information of patient nutritional status for inpatient and outpatient discharge care plans.
- You will provide drug-nutrient interrelationship information to medical staff to assure patient receives maximum benefit from drugs and diet.
- You will use nutritional supplements and department materials and supplies to promote cost effective and appropriate patient care.
- You will maintain accurate records as directed by the Chief Clinical Dietitian (i.e., clinical productivity records) to meet department requirements and assist in statistical analysis data.
- You will assist with data collection and evaluation of quality assurance indicators to monitor the quality and appropriateness of patient care.
- You will conduct educational programs for the outpatient population as needed, including outpatient consultations on a one to one basis.
Qualifications:
One year experience preferred.
