Special Assistant to the Head Coach-Men’s Basketball
The position will assist the head coach in the management of a NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball program and the successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the head coach in the administrative functions related to the scheduling, planning and preparation for all team meetings, practice sessions and competition events;
- Coordinate necessary administrative duties in support of the head coach of the Men’s Basketball program including, but not limited to, NCAA compliance support and assistance, organization of recruiting data and files, future game scheduling and planning of external program events;
- Assist with all on campus recruiting visits and other recruiting duties.
- Assist with men’s basketball camp programming and operations.
- Work closely with head coach and collaborate with other men’s basketball program and athletics staff to monitor the well-being, status and progress of student-athletes;
- Participate in other program related duties as assigned by the head coach.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Two (2) years of program operations or student-athlete experience in collegiate men’s basketball.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively manage and assist with head coach administrative duties and program operations functions.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and a record of commitment to NCAA compliance.
