Job Description/Responsibilities

 

Under supervision, torch burner is responsible for various tasks that in tale sorting/grading of material, housekeeping duties, as well as keeping up with daily tonnage output.

                                   

  • Use oxygen/gas/plasma torch to downsize and sort various types of metals that meet all quality specifications
  • Work in all weather conditions safely
  • Comply with all company safety and environmental policies that follow local, state and OSHA regulations
  • Inspect equipment daily, willing to adapt to change of material specifications/tonnage quota
  • PPE: hard hat, leather gloves, leather chaps, boot covers, fr clothing, face shield, respirator

 

Qualifications

 

  • Dependable and willing to work overtime when presented
  • Metal identification skills
  • Lift up to 50 lbs daily
