What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Teacher Assistant position at Loretto Child Care Center?
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the daycare
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and educational activities
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure the daycare facility is clean, organized, and meets all safety regulations
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting
- Understanding of childhood development milestones and appropriate educational strategies
Skills:
- Classroom management: Ability to create a structured and engaging learning environment
- Childhood development: Knowledge of the stages of child development and appropriate educational activities for each stage
-CDA or Commonwealth Credential preferred.
- Experience with children: Previous experience caring for or working with young children
- Toddler care: Knowledge of the unique needs and developmental milestones of toddlers
- Early childhood education: Familiarity with early childhood education theories, practices, and curriculum
