You’ll have proven experience overseeing operations, finance, and communications. You are an expert communicator with a strong ability to delegate responsibilities and proven skills to apply in collaboration between our wine team and our back-of-the-house team. Ultimately, you are driven by the passion for the restaurant business and desire to lead a team toward a high level of professionalism and teamwork to make every guest feel welcome.
The General Manager is responsible for:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring completion, while accomplishing your own goals
- Creating strategic plans for maintaining a clean and well-stocked restaurant
- Hire team members and train them to provide warm, welcoming, and professional service and fire when needed
- Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved
- Maintain labor numbers at or below 33%
- Uphold standards of excellence and quality
- Provide guidance and feedback to help team members strengthen specific knowledge and skill
- Make sure the restaurant cleanliness is maintained at all times
- Ordering beer and non-alcoholic drinks and other items to maintain takeout orders
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a managerial role
- Strong decision-making capabilities
- Above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Proven ability to develop and maintain financial plans
- Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable
- Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
- POS experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
- At least 3-5 years of managerial experience, ideally in the restaurant industry
