Position Summary:
Performs direct patientcare through utilization of the nursing process in accordance with theCalifornia Nurse Practice Act, physician orders, hospital policies andprocedures, and established professional standards. The RN is responsible andaccountable for the delivery of safe, competent care either through directdelivery of that care or appropriate delegation and for performance improvementand quality initiatives as appropriate.

Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certifications:
Current RN License by the Board of Nurse ExaminersState of California
Current BCLS required
Current ACLS required
Current NRP card required
Education:
Graduateof an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Experience:
- Current NICU RNs will have a minimum of two years of Level 3 NICU experience.
Special Qualifications:
TheRN working in specialty units/departments completes additional training andeducation through the orientation process and competency assessment.
Anextended orientation may be available for the RN not meeting all job experiencerequirements.
