We are looking for a technical Pool, Spa and Water Feature Designer/ Project Manager as a consultant to the NY Construction Industry. Your work will play a great part in the most important amenity in their projects. As pool designer, you must be a creative problem solver with great communication skills. You should be very skilled with AutoCAD and learn the Health Code with respect to pools. Collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary design team to design and coordinate the pool construction and its practical installation into many different types of settings is what we’ll expect from you. Responsibilities
- Learn the health code with respect to pools
- Review the project architect's pool facility plans for compliance and best practice
- Comment on and suggest alternate pool designs to meet the program
- Create preliminary sketches and present them for approval
- Produce design drawings and construction documents
- Select pool filtration equipment
- Hydraulic design for filtration, drain-down, backwash, etc.
- Make an application to the Department of Health
- Review contractors' submittals
- Conduct site inspections for compliance with your documents and code
- Coordinate with DoH inspectors
- Keep the project profitable
Skills
- Experience in commercial construction industry
- AutoCAD expertise and great drafting skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Advanced study in a technical field such as architectural technology or other construction industry field.
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
