As the Assisted Living Director of Resident Care (DON), you will have the opportunity to impact the lives of residents, families, and staff in a positive way every day!
This position oversees the operation of the communities 42-bed Assisted Living Center, aligning resident and family needs, state regulations and the company’s mission to provide the highest level of resident care.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, organization, and operation of nursing and supportive services for the Assisted Living Center.
- Train, supervise, schedule, review and discipline care team staff including, LPN’s, medication aids and resident aids.
- Coordinate and monitor all services relating to resident care needs through individualized service plans.
- Address resident and family concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Model leadership and maturity to staff; present professionally to residents and family members.
- Direct Case management for 42 residents.
- Makes daily rounds on unit to supervise, observe, examine, and interview residents to monitor delivery of care and regulatory compliance.
- Ensures 24-hour availability as on-call.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Unrestricted nursing license to practice in New York (LPN, RN).
- Demonstrated experience supervising team members and providing training and support.
- Dedicated to the principles of kindness, compassion, service, and excellence.
- 2 years-experience in assisted living/long-term care preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
