Job Description
Under the general direction of the Customer Services Center Supervisor, this regular, full- time position provides front counter customer service. The department currently has two locations: Leesburg and Sterling, and this position may need to work from both locations to meet programmatic needs.
The successful candidate is an organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a demonstrated customer service knowledge base, excellent communication skills, who can prioritize tasks effectively, multi-task efficiently, embrace and utilize technology to improve work flow. Ideal candidate will have experience in interacting with individuals of diverse education, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides courteous, empathetic, respectful and timely customer service to county staff, vendors, citizens and other visitors.
- Provides correct information to customers and/or refers customers to appropriate staff.
- Directs incoming phone calls to appropriate program or individual.
- Assess level of urgency or emergency prior to transferring calls.
- Handles mail and correspondence.
- Issues EBT cards to customers.
- Works with Public Benefits Specialists to ensure accuracy of client information.
Hiring Range: $37,229.23-$49,328.73- Salary Commensurate with Experience.

- Must be available for duty beyond normal 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., M-F workday which includes nights, weekends, and holidays, as required to perform functions of the position.
- May be required to work and may be assigned to an alternate worksite(s) to carry out duties that support operational needs.
- May be required to perform work that involves crisis situations and requires me to make decisions involving people, resources, and property.
