We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to lead the Louisburg Recreation Commission (LRC), its volunteers, events and programs. This position offers a great opportunity for an innovative thinker who is ready to make a positive and consistent impact on the community.
Responsibilities include:
Manages and oversees the operation and maintenance of LRC fields.
Supervises, guides and trains team members.
Ensures successful implementation and execution of all LRC programs and events.
Manages coaches’, players’ and other volunteers’ needs as they arise.
Directs the scheduling of practices and games for all LRC sports.
Manages all LRC equipment and the use of equipment by community members.
Oversees concession stand staffing, ordering and management.
Writes grants and attains sponsorships.
Leads all necessary communication within the community.
Attends monthly board meetings and shares all relevant updates with the board of directors.
Must be available evenings and weekends to attend and oversee sporting and/or enrichment events.
Manages the monetary needs of the LRC, including adhering to budgets and communicating financial updates to the board of directors.
Partners with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Serves as liaison to the city council and the school board, offering reports and updates upon request.
