THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a HEAVY EQUIPMENT FIELD TECHNICIAN to join our growing operations. The Technician in this position will be assigned a given territory and will receive support from the NAPA Winnfield location.

YOU

The person in this role will be responsible for servicing and repairing all brands of heavy equipment at customer job sites from a field service truck. You will also be responsible for providing parts and service support to an assigned customer base.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

• You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on all components of heavy equipment such as electrical codes, engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, power generation and power trains
• You will be responsible for removal and installation of heavy equipment engine components according to manufacturer standards and technical service manuals
• You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining relationships with a set list of customers in your territory
• You will consult with your assigned customers on their parts and service needs

MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED: High School Diploma or (GED) equivalent
• REQUIRED: Prior technical training of heavy machinery / equipment
• REQUIRED: Strong mechanical aptitude
• REQUIRED: Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Must own required tool inventory. Louisiana Cat offers exclusive Tooling Program (specific discussed during interviews)
• Strong customer service skills, mechanical aptitude, professional demeanor and always "safety-first" mentality every hour of every day

JOB FACTS

• WORK SHIFT: 8 to 12 hour days / some weekends;
• You will be responsible for driving a Service Truck to and from customer job sites
• Will require physical movement as listed in the job description
