Assistant Professor, School of Communication

This Assistant Professor (School of Communication) position within the Department of Communication/Media studies is for a person who holds a Ph.D./Ed.D in Speech Communication/Communication Studies. The position involves teaching basic and advanced undergraduate communication courses, including those required for the BA in Communication/Media Studies, and advanced coursework for graduate students seeking the MA in Communication Studies. Additionally, there are expectations that the individual filling this position will participate in departmental, college, and university committee structures where appropriate and engage in academically related professional activities. Currently, the faculty in this position will assist current faculty in working toward developing and implementing the new MA Communication program, opening 9-1-2022 Review of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled. POSITION AND SALARY JUSTIFICATION The instructional position of Assistant Professor with the Communication/Media Studies Department is required for the 2022-2023 academic year to maintain the current level of service and major course offerings. The proposed salary range is justifiable based on the level of experience and qualification required of the individual filling the position.
