What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at LOVE MANAGEMENT COMPANY?
Tim Love Restaurants has an immediate opening for a Controller. He/she would be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable/Receivable operations and serve as a liaison between our company accountant and our AP/AR Manager.
Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:
· Establish and monitor company policies and procedures
· Protect company assets by monitoring and enforcing internal controls
· Monitor financial conditions by conducting frequent internal audits
· Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
· Provide status of financial conditions by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
· Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
To be successful in this role, the selected candidate must possess the following qualifications:
· Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, and standards
· Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
· Strong attention to detail
· Able to work well with upper management, as well as mentor/lead other team members
