Job Summary
The position of Scheduling Expeditor is open within our corporate operations division located in Gastonia, NC.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, positive-thinking and motivated individual with high quality standards and an appropriate skill set. This role reports directly to the Scheduling Manager and will be responsible for providing support to the department, ordering materials and handling necessary documentation. This role includes assisting in daily office needs and the management of general administrative activities to ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the department.This position is expected to work shifts from Monday through Friday with occasional overtime and weekend work required based upon business levels.
This is a salaried-exempt position with compensation commensurate with experience. This position is designated as a hybrid position with both in-office and remote work.
Job Responsibilities
- Responding to internal and external customer requests, ensuring superior customer satisfaction
- Responding to routine inquiries, as required
- Ordering materials for jobs per requirements specified on work orders
- Handling documentation for permitting requirements
- Processing of vehicle stickers and employee tickets
- Data entry and site tracking
- Reviewing, categorizing and logging emails
- Scheduling and coordination of department meetings and events, as needed. Documentation of meeting minutes and action items; follow through to ensure associated deadlines are met
- Updating weekly and monthly reports as needed
- Assisting with inventory management/counts

Physical Requirements
- Perform physical activity such as lifting, stooping, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, crouching, and reaching in an office environment

Education/Experience/Skills
- A minimum of six (6) months in an administrative or customer service role
- College degree in business administration or similar experience within the construction, landscaping or commercial home builder industry preferred
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced, high demand environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Superior computer skills including Microsoft Office (required) and QuickBooks (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands
- Must be flexible in work assignments
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong organizational skills
