Stake Center Locating has an opportunity in Greensboro, NC for a high potential, results-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and operational support to the utility locating business!
Join a team of finance professionals to support finance decisions within one or more of the Stake Center business segments. We support the financial landscape thru budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting. You will play a meaningful role in managing financial performance and implementing finance strategies to achieve committed business performance. We support Stake Center business leaders and assist in driving finance initiatives and decisions. We also play an important part in identifying trends and developments in competitive environments and support the management outcome decisions. Position requires flexibility as well as the ability to work with large amounts of data and draw directional conclusions from that data. Candidate must possess strong analytical skills and sound business judgment. This position reports to the Sr. Manager – FP&A for Stake Center Locating.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform variance analysis of P&L and Working Capital
- Key partnership with FP&A and operating teams
- Financial projections, analysis of variances
- Drive productivity & profitability
- Drive continuous improvement
- Timely month/quarter close
- Drive compliance and process documentation
- Assist audits and enhance internal controls
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
- 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, planning or accounting
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in FP&A
- Master’s degree in Finance or CPA.
- Ability to present complex analysis with clarity.
- Ability to understand accounting and financial processes related to the business.
- Knowledge of US GAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and Internal controls.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with data visualization software; Tableau/Power BI
