What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter maintenance position at Lowes Foods?
Responsibilities
- Performs trim and finishes carpentry including molding, base details, panel and marlite finishes, countertops, shelves, and painting.
- Performs welding / brazing using mig wire welder, oxy / acetylene torch, and arc welder.
- Performs general building maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, floor tile and acoustical repair, masonry, and HVAC.
- Assists service person and electricians as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Maintain a driver's license and a good driving record.
- Demonstrate use of hand tools, saws, drills, and welders.
- Demonstrate the knowledge gained by 5 - 7 years general construction / carpentry experience.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain balance on a ladder.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs. consistently.
