Key Responsibilities
• In conjunction with sourcing leadership, provides analysis and inputs into category strategies that
identify savings opportunities. Analyzes suppliers and demand/spend profiles as well as market
conditions to identify savings opportunities. Contributes to and develops presentation materials for
Category plans.
• Executes sourcing projects leveraging project management and sourcing tools. Development of
analytics around vendor bids and situational demand/usage opportunities will be expected.
Expected to lead crossfunctional team to drive information gathering from the business, scope
development, and contract negotiation critical to completion of the project.
• Develop and execute negotiation plan with sourcing leadership to maximize value of deals.
Recognizes competing interests and different award scenarios. Presents materials to stakeholders,
evaluating pros and cons of suppliers across multiple award scenarios.
• Authors mostly pre-authored agreements and some new templates that require development,
changes, and new language. SOWs will sometimes include governance, complex cost
models/structures, performance management (KPIs), penalty and incentive provisions. SOW
development will require some stakeholder and BU collaboration. Responsible for life-cycle contract
management for assigned categories while leveraging relevant partners across the organization.
• Partners with the business units for relationship management activities and contributes to business
reviews and QBRs to maximize value from suppliers. Develops and maintains positive and objective
relationships with suppliers to ensure that they are committed to Lowe’s, ensure contract
objectives are achieved effectively. Serves as an escalation for contract and performance issues with
sourcing leaders.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships typically at the Director and Manager . Expected to
interface frequently with customers regarding project updates and status. Initiates and facilitates
meetings with key customers and stakeholders with sourcing leadership.
• Contribute to cross functional effort to create new and modified process that make the P2P process
faster and more efficient. Implements new policies and procedures at the direction of sourcing
leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or science plus 3 years of experience
3 additional years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
1 Year Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance or similar work with an emphasis on sourcing, negotiations, and contracting
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree - MBA, JD, MS, ME
Experience with E-Sourcing Tools
Project Management experience
Cross functional team leadership experience
Experience building RFP, SOW, and Contracting
Direct Negotiations experience
Vendor Management experience
