Groundsman

Job Summary:
The Groundsman at Loyalty Inn Tallahassee is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appearance of the hotel's exterior grounds. 


Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all exterior grounds, including parking lots, sidewalks, and landscaping, are clean and free of litter, debris, and hazards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mowing, edging, and trimming, to keep the grounds in pristine condition.
- Monitor and maintain plantings, including watering, fertilizing, and replacing plants as needed.
- Keep outdoor furniture, such as benches and tables, clean and presentable for guests.
- Notify management of any maintenance or safety issues that require attention.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment and performing duties.
- Attend training and development programs to enhance skills and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in groundskeeping or similar outdoor maintenance role.
- Basic knowledge of lawn care and landscaping techniques.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment, such as lawn mowers and leaf blowers.
- Physically fit and able to perform duties that involve lifting, bending, and kneeling.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Customer service skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
