What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inkject Press Operator - Nights position at LPi?
We are looking for a 2nd shift Inkjet Operator to join our team at our Cuyahoga Heights facility.
The hours are:
- Monday: 9am - 7pm
- Tuesday: 6pm - 4am
- Wednesday: 6pm - 4am
- Thursday: 6pm - 4am
- Friday: Off
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate the inkjet equipment to provide LPi’s customers with high quality printed publications
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance including; Cleaning the inkjet equipment and notifying the team leader or maintenance team member of issues and/or concerns that need to be address in accordance to LPi’s safety and operational functions
- Cross train in inkjet production lines to efficiently operate and maintain bindery equipment in the instance of team member vacations and/or sick time
- Demonstrate the ability to work closely with the press team leader to ensure quality and deadline expectations are met
- Maintain press logs for history of equipment, parts and repairs
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Five or more years of graphic arts experience preferred
- Experience with web presses or desktop publishers preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
- Ability to function in a team setting
- Above-average judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently with some direction
- Time management skills to meet goals and LPi’s strict timelines
