Retail Security Mission: To provide a safe work environment for workers and to protect property from Theft.
Job Details:
Shift is 1pm-9pm Sunday-Wednesday
Full/Part time hours
$15.00 an hour
Must be able to work in White Oak and Penn Township, PA
GUARD DUTIES:
- Monitor the Door and front-End register area
- Encouraging all entrants to wear a mask- enforce the clients policy.
- Watch customers check out properly and don’t just take items straight out the door
- Watch the self-checkout customers pay for everything
- Watch things on bottoms of shopping carts get rung up
- Hot foods and bakery items from back must have Paid sticker when exiting store
- NO cell phone use while on duty unless reporting an incident
- No socializing with store employees
- Plain clothes pretend you are shopping. Use props as needed (i.e. shopping list, store ad, pen, paper, coupons)
- Uniform for front of the store: Black Slacks, White polo or Button up shirt and black shoes.
- Watch shoppers and watch what they take from shelves
- Observe shoppers looking for red flags
- Observe concealment of item or items
Apprehend shoplifter when theft has occurred. Process in a discreet location.- ID the shoplifter
- Photograph shoplifter and items
- Document items stolen and their value
- Complete retail theft shoplifter incident log
- Complete trespass warning agreement with shoplifter
- Complete civil restitution agreement and process with shoplifter
- If a Civil complaint is not filed, you must complete criminal process with shoplifter
- Escort the shoplifter from the store
