Substation Manager

Our team based in St. Louis, MO is currently looking for a Substation Project Manager to join our team. As the Substation Project Manager, you will support the power delivery development, construction, and operations team, provide technical support for new and existing assets, determine low-cost solutions to construct new projects, develop project cost/schedule estimates, and manage contracts to safely and efficiently engineer, procure, and construct the projects.

Responsibilities

• Support bid solicitations and project development with knowledge of substation engineering, procurement, and construction.  
• Prepare and review design packages, physical layout designs, material specifications, and construction specifications.
• Review protection and control design and electrical studies and reports
• Evaluate engineering, procurement and construction factors that lead to low-cost solutions in a highly competitive environment.
• Manage engineering, procurement and construction contracts

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 5 or more years of power industry experience.  High voltage substation experience is required.
• Effectively manage multiple assignments under time constraints.
• Solutions focused team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Work independently with direction on a regular basis.
