Our Expectations

SECTION I: DESIGN COMPETENCY

  • Design ideation skills necessary to generate, test, organize, and advance design resolution
  • Storytelling rigor and skill
  • Understanding of key Urban Design issues and strategies
  • Design, graphic, and presentation skills

 

SECTION II: TECHNICAL COMPETENCY

  • Experience in Revit, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite is required
  • Experience in Rhino and Enscape is preferred
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • LEED accreditation or interest in achieving such is preferred
  • 1 years of experience in an architectural office or equivalent professional setting
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Planning or related field of study

 

SECTION III: TEAMWORK AND COLLABORATION COMPETENCY  

  • Communication skills and a strong team ethic
  • Ability to interact professionally with office leadership and clients
  • Ability to motivate work efforts of others and handle stressful situations
  • Ability to self-manage project assignments from start to finish with oversight
  • Openness to exploration, innovation, and agility

 

SECTION IV: LEADERSHIP

  • Be a good team member fostering a positive work environment
  • Develop strong relationships within the firm, with our clients and in our communities
  • Anticipate critical issues and adjust design thinking appropriately

 

A cover letter, resume and portfolio demonstrating design thinking and rendering abilities are required.

Environment, Demands and Accommodation

Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting.
