What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving position at LSI Staffing?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Safely perform routine forklift activities and inspections.
· Process customer orders with specific packaging and labeling instructions.
· Build, band and wrap shipments for a stable transport.
· Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels in bin locations.
· Follows all safety and PPE guidelines and dress codes outlined in company handbook
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Must be able to operate standard forklifts accurately and safely
· Able to lift up to 70 lbs. routinely
· Working knowledge of scanning equipment
· Ability to handle and maintain a wide range of products, sizes, and weights
· Equipment operations required are (i.e. Shrink wrap machines and banders)
· Forklift, Man-up Lift, scissor lift and mobile ladder.
· Good housekeeping and work ethics are required.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Shipping/Receiving warehouse experience is preferred and verifiable forklift experience is required. Knowledge of and/or some experience with scanning equipment is also required.
Skills:
Must be able to follow specific work instructions. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Able to maintain a certified forklift license.
Physical Demands:
The physical qualifications necessary here are representative of, but not limited to, those that would be necessary to perform the duties, responsibilities, and qualifications of this job. There is a lot of lifting and getting on and off a forklift. This is a continual function of this job.
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment is not climate controlled for the most part. Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions.
