LTS is seeking part-time Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistants to provide COVID testing for individuals, families & community groups in compliance with LTS policies, procedures, professional standards, and program testing protocols.

Seeking Certified Medical Assistants (CMA or RMA) with exceptional customer service skills and desire to be part of a network of small, dedicated teams supporting healthy communities across Georgia.
Compensation: Base pay rate of $25/hr for nationally Certified Medical Assistants or Registered Medical Assistants or $20/hr for Certified Nursing Assistants or Phlebotomist.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform activities to support the safe and efficient testing of patients for COVID-19.
- Work as a two-person team (and on occasion solo).
- Set up and tear down outdoor COVID-19 testing sites to specified guidelines.
- Provide patient services including registering patients and reporting of test site data.
- Provide excellent customer service in explaining test and result process, answering questions and assisting with test process for self-administered testing.
- Observe specimen collection.
- Assistance patients, when requested, perform anterior nasal swab while wearing all necessary PPE.
- Count and package specimens for daily delivery to lab.
- May deliver specimen shipments at identified time to designated drop-off location, and report tracking information.
- As designated, collect specimens from nearby self-serve kiosk, package, label and deliver shipment to designated drop box at identified time and report tracking information.
- May perform weekly inventory counts.
- Coordinate and plan for site supplies including PPE, test kits, labels and specimen shipping supplies.
- Use required time and reporting systems daily as directed.
- Participate in periodic team/staff meetings/trainings.
- Abide by all LTS Policies and Procedures and OSHA safety standards.
- On occasion support sites outside of your primary location as assigned – mileage provided in accordance with policy if supporting ad hoc travel to work at other test site locations.
- Will be required to wear appropriate PPE while on site.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Outstanding customer service skills and desire to help citizens in your community.
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred, or related experience. Willing to accept Certified Nursing Assistants or Phlebotomist.
- High School Diploma or GED and one or more years’ experience in clinical setting providing patient services
- Prior COVID-19 Testing experience strongly preferred.
- Current Driver License in good standing and must have reliable transportation.
- Experience with Mobile phone apps, Microsoft Office and Teams desired.
- Strong communication skills - oral and written.
- Ability to wear a KN95 mask.
- Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- No smoking permitted at job site locations
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work inside and outside for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform job duties while sitting, standing, squatting, bending at the waist, kneeling, and walking for an extended period.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15- 20lbs., reach in all directions unassisted. Ability to use lifting motion over and below waist from 15lbs-20 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to perform gross motor functions, fine motor functions and maintain olfactory sensory functions.
- Ability to work in a latex safe environment.
- Ability to use vision or corrective vision to determine depth perception and to discriminate between color coated objects.
- Ability to be qualified using medical evaluations and physicals for adequate passing for respirator use.
