The Lubrizol HR team is passionate about results. Reporting to the Human Resources Director of Global Operations, the Global HR Partner, Corporate Operations position is accountable to enable Lubrizol to achieve its business objectives by maximizing the contributions of people in global procurement, global supply chain, global HSE and global manufacturing services for the operations divisions. In this role, you will be required to work effectively in a global matrix environment by leading the execution of HR objectives including talent management, employee relations, leadership development, workforce planning, coaching, change and organizational design initiatives. This position is in NE Ohio, and will split time between our Wickliffe, OH and Brecksville, OH headquarter locations. In this role, you will be the Primary HR contact for Global Procurement, Global Supply Chain, Global HSE and Global Manufacturing Services. You will work closely with HR colleagues, centers of excellence and regions around the world, and lead regional projects and workstreams for standardizing polices and/or procedures.

There are many opportunities to make an impact in this role. You will have the opportunity to support the HR Transformation and the establishment of leveraged services in North America. You will also participate in shepherding in organizational changes globally to support significant new business work processes, as well as preparing succession plans for some of the key leadership roles in our Operations organization. Additionally, you will support and help accelerate our enhanced culture journey.

Performance Management, Talent Management & Succession Planning
Our annual people reviews ensure that our workforce is developed and growing within our business. You’ll be involved in talent development, you’ll own succession planning and utilize tools to identify, develop and prepare the leaders of the future. You will take on the role of a coach and will work closely with your senior managers and the HR team, mentoring and supporting them in achieving results.


Recruitment and Selection
You will also partner with the Talent Acquisition team, helping them to further develop the recruitment plan, the employer brand and constantly innovate to ensure that Lubrizol remains an employer of choice and hires the best to help ensure our future.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or related field and a minimum of 8 years of HR experience with at least 5 years of generalist experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience partnering / consulting with all levels of employees including coaching, development, influencing and strategic partnering
  • Experience successfully influencing senior managers
  • Experience working in a matrixed work environment, thus effectively working within global and local complexities
  • Knowledge of best-in-class HR processes, programs, policies and systems
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and change, comfortable with uncertainty
  • Work effectively with other team members to solve problems and implement solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Willing to travel as required

  • Previous experience working in an HR center of excellence
  • Previous experience working in an HR role in a manufacturing environment
