Working at Luby's as a Cook or in Food Production, you will acquire great culinary skills. Luby's offers positions as a Range Cook, Grill Cook, Fry Cook, Butcher, Salad and Vegetable Prep, and Pastry Prep.
As a Cook or Food Production, you will receive and stock inventory, prepare, cook and assemble orders, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and maintain food safety and quality standards by following standard operating procedures.

Cooks are responsible for delivering food that is not only delicious and cooked to the specifications of the customer but that is safe and fresh as well.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to read and follow recipes to maintain consistency and quality menu items.
- Must have good organizational skills
- Open to varied work schedules and hours depending on the restaurant’s needs
- Must be able to use to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods of time
- Must be a team player
- Will need to be certified on specific equipment such as a Band Saw, Buffalo Chopper, Meat Tenderizer, Mixer and Potato Peeler. (this will take place after hiring)
