Admissions/Intakes Manager - FULLY REMOTE POSITION

Reports to: National Director of Operations

Description summary

Direct the nationwide facility admissions and Intake activities by driving the admissions process, developing, implementing and maintaining revenue-generating strategies.

Job Duties:

  • Establishes admissions operational strategies by monitoring therapist capacity by state by payer nationwide then partnering with HR and Business Development teams to ensure HR delivers the capacity available to meet demand created by BD. Establish critical measurements across productivity, quality, and patient-service strategies. Design workflow and process monitoring strategies; manage admissions teams; resolve problems; implement change.
  • Accomplishes Admissions leadership by determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation strategies. Ensure that department is up to date on and compliant with new laws and regulations.
  • Develops admissions organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional admissions objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  • Develops admissions financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Maximizes revenues by identifying short-term and long-range patient-pay and third-party reimbursement issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to administrative deliberations; recommending options and courses of actions to Lucid Lane leadership including Compliance, Finance and Clinical; implementing directives.
  • Enhances patient care delivery system by fostering admissions function interface with the professional staff,
  • Identifies current and future patient admissions requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and others in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; maintaining personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand current and future

service requirements; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.

  • Accomplishes Lucid Lane’s goals by accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Travels as position requires, recruiting clients by building relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare workers
  • Meets monthly quota for qualified admissions
  • Partner with Product Technology leadership as the Subject Matter Expert sharing domain expertise to guide the development of Lucid Lane’s internally facing, admissions related technologies such as
  • Contact Management,
  • Scheduling,
  • Client Document Management
  • Resource Planning

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
  • Some weekend and evening hours required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with six plus years’ experience managing a healthcare admissions department or Master’s Degree in Human Services Field preferred with three plus years’ experience in managing a healthcare related admissions department. Also a minimum of five years in the substance abuse treatment field recommended.
  • Three years of work experience as a Director of Admissions in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility preferred.
  • Experience with Healthcare Administration, Patient Services, FDA Health Regulations, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, Decision Making, Developing Budgets, Dependability and Quality Management and Improvements.
