The Global Engineering department unites a global supply chain collective rooted in strategic vision and tactical excellence that delivers unsurpassed value to our internal partners, guests and shareholders. The Director, Campus Engineering & MHE is a critical position that drives performance improvements throughout the distribution network, individual distribution centers and expanding the throughput capabilities of our fulfillment centers by delivering our Distribution Automation Strategy. The position serves as the functional expert leading the North America Campus Engineering Distribution & MHE teams in engineered labor standards, automation, material handling equipment, facility layout and design. In partnership with fulfillment leadership, the Director defines and implements the strategy for deployment, standardization, and optimization of fulfillment processes throughout the North America Distribution network, including 3PL partners.

A Day In The Life
- Lead and develop a Campus Engineering team located in multiple locations for end-to-end supply chain - from supplier to store
- Create a motivational and supportive environment in which employees are challenged, coached, trained, and provided with career opportunities
- Conduct internal and external benchmarking, working with internal customers, research and development efforts into future technologies and performance
- Lead continuous improvement strategy/culture and champion lean methodologies for the distribution network
- Coordinate efforts to incorporate new concepts into existing systems, develop new systems, and drive process improvements throughout the fulfillment network
- Oversee major material handling design modifications
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline; Master's degree preferred in equivalent field of study
- Experience - 5 years of direct supervision leading an Engineering team with 10 years Engineering experience Material Handling Equipment, Facilities Maintenance, Engineered Labor Standards in a Fulfillment Center environment and Supply Chain Operations
- Skills - A proven executive with leadership and ability to achieve aggressive company goals and highest standards; Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to set a vision and strategy, manage change, develop, mentor and coach personnel, including ability to present to middle and senior management to drive decision making
