This space offers sweatlife experiences, such as sweat classes, meditation, food offerings, rental opportunities and many other special events. Our first Experiential store was opened in the summer of 2019 in Lincoln Park, Chicago.
Who is the Experiential Lead, Experiential Stores
You are an essential part of the Experiential Store leadership team and the educator and guest experience every day. You are a natural connector and early adopter who supports the Curator and Experiential Manager team in creating and implementing forward thinking programming to give ambassadors, innovators, entrepreneurs, chefs, artists, and influencers in your community a place to share, connect, and create.
You support in executing experiential programming (events, rentals, sales, classes, marketplace, residency), community programming and ambassador programming. You support in leading the event execution and studio services teams.
You are responsible for facilitating the educator experience, creating an outstanding guest experience through connection, overseeing day-to-day operations of the studio space, and supporting event and private rental execution. You take initiative, have strong assessment skills, and provide feedback for your team and are agile in adapting to the ebbs and flows of the day-to-day business.

Core Accountabilities of the Experiential Lead, Experiential Stores
- Accountable for the experience of your team, instructors, and guests. You oversee the level of engagement in our experiential programming, you ensure that every guest receives an outstanding experience, and you speak authentically about our product, community, and culture
- Utilize strong time management skills, strategically manage the day-to-day operations of the studio spaces and event run of show, and can prioritize and adapt to daily business needs in the moment, giving feedback and direction when needed
- Execute sweat, residency, fuel marketplace (where applicable), and event programming strategy as delegated by the Curator
- Lead the educator team in preparing the studios, reception area, and locker rooms for the day including: class set up, event set up, locker room prep and maintenance
- Ensure all equipment in the studio spaces are cleaned, organized, and in working order before every activation
- Lead in closing the studio or store for the day following the end of classes or events including: locker room cleaning and reset, studio cleaning and organization, event break down, cleaning, collecting and removing trash and recycling and other duties as needed
- Utilize Point of Sale system for retail sales, Mindbody for class and event booking, process payments, refunds/exchanges and issue gift cards, and Eventbrite for event and rental sales
- Aware of company safety policies and procedures, and you work in partnership with your team to ensure a safe workplace
- Educate on your in-house community programs including studios, instructors, fuel, and events
- Demonstrate exemplary community education in every guest interaction and you explain the "why" behind events/experiences and enroll guests in attending them
- Facilitate relationships with sweat influencers in your store’s community by enrolling relevant guests in our Sweat Collective program and gathering product feedback
- Know all current ambassadors by name and expertise, and you facilitate the introduction of ambassadors to the team and other leaders in the community
- Remain up to date on company communication, priorities, roll-outs and any additional information required by the Curator and General Manager; you educate on guest-facing initiatives at the studio reception desk and in community gathering spaces
- Answer store phones and respond to voicemails and store community email account as needed
- Receive and process event supplies and apparel, involving unpacking, counting, tagging as required, folding, sizing and placing on the floor, with overflow stock in back room and stored areas
- Unpack boxes for inventory as required (boxes can weigh 5 - 30 lbs)
- Responsible for inventory and supplies management including receiving, processing, restocking destocking, and visual merchandising in the Studio Services area, locker rooms, and studio spaces
- Leverage all necessary tools to manage the studio and events business operations in overseeing sales targets, labor and budget management
- Under the direction of the General Manager and Curator, you perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request
- 1-3 years experience working in an event or studio coordinator role
- Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to identify and resolve issues and alert leadership to potential areas of liability
- Ability to function independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail

- All employees’ availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may change from time to time. The General Manager determines the availability needs, and this schedule could include a combination of shift times, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- lululemon reserves the right to make amendments to the schedule and/ or availability requirements from time to time and at its sole discretion
- All employees are expected to be available to work "Black Friday" (the day after US Thanksgiving) and from the second week of December (the start of the second week in period 11) until the end of the holiday season, to be defined each year based in part on the time period guests are permitted to return holiday merchandise, on an annual basis
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of post-secondary education will be considered an asset
