The Data Analyst will be responsible for:
This position is responsible for providing Data Science and statistical support for projects associated with assays developed by Luminex and DiaSorin. This includes managing and developing ETL pipelines, administration and development of cloud databases and data analytic tools, and providing various data science and statistical services to other functional groups and technical support teams. This position necessitates close collaboration with other departments to ensure effective and efficient delivery of requested analyses.

This position is responsible for providing Data Science and statistical support for projects associated with assays developed by Luminex and DiaSorin. This includes managing and developing ETL pipelines, administration and development of cloud databases and data analytic tools, and providing various data science and statistical services to other functional groups and technical support teams. This position necessitates close collaboration with other departments to ensure effective and efficient delivery of requested analyses.
What you will do
- Build and deploy data models, ETL pipeline and analytics applications into production
- Maintain, debug and improve existing data science and analytics pipelines and tools
- Work closely with scientists, engineers and analysts to understand the data needs of the company
- Perform data science and statistical analyses to support the development of molecular assays, which may include: o data modeling and statistical analysis o evaluation of models and software call algorithms o developing and deploying ETL pipelines to production o developing and deploying tools to support assay design pipelines o developing and applying tools to establish optimal call algorithm parameters
- Develop and maintain software for oligo design
- Provide administrative support for access to AWS and Tableau
- Develop visualizations/reports/dashboards using Tableau and other reporting tools
- Maintain software version control for scripts and tools developed
- Manage assay data for quality control and troubleshooting purposes
- Implement and follow all Company policies and process to meet regulatory compliance
- Other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s Degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics or a related data analytical discipline required
- 2 Years Industrial experience in scripting/programming, statistics, data science, or related experience or a Master's Degree in a data analytical discipline with emphasis on applied scripting/programming to data wrangling and statistical analyses in lieu of work experience required
- 1 Years Experience in a GMP and/or FDA regulated environment preferred
- 1 Years Experience working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities preferred
- Proven experience in data wrangling, modeling and statistical analyses (High proficiency)
- Extensive experience with Python, R, SQL, and Linux shell scripting (High proficiency)
- Advanced experience in MS Excel (e.g. VBA, user-defined formula) (High proficiency)
- Extensive experience working in both Linux and Microsoft Windows environments (High proficiency)
- Proven experience working in a team environment (High proficiency)
- Knowledge and experience with bioinformatics tools and databases, and study designs (Low proficiency)
- Demonstrated cross-disciplinary skills in biological and data/computer sciences (Low proficiency)
- Experience with AWS and Tableau environments (Medium proficiency)
- Experience with version control (e.g. Git) (Medium proficiency)
- Ability to explain complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive and concise manner (Medium proficiency)
- Organized with proven time management and prioritization skills (Medium proficiency)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (Medium proficiency)
- 10% Travel may be required
