About This Role**
As Inspection Tech your job duties will include, but are not limited too, troubleshooting defective equipment, repairing and installing solar systems, conducting preventative maintenance on solar components, and more. We are looking for someone who can effectively problem solve to deliver the best result for our customers!
Overall Responsibilities**
- Follow daily appointment schedule
- Meet with AHJ inspector onsite with approved plans
- Update Jobnimbus with notes and results of each inspection
- Review documents for accuracy
- Communicate correction or problems back to OPS Team
- Walk through project before inspector to check for potential problems
- Follow through on assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision
- Always looking for ways to improve efficiency and communication to make customer experience better
- Perform additional duties as assigned or directed
Qualifications **
- Previous experience in solar or other related fields required (5yrs)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Able to identify/isolate roof leaks
- Ability to understand or have experience in Electrical Panels including Sub Panels (MBD derate, conduit bending, relocating circuits, etc.)
- Ability to understand or have experience in Monitoring equipment (Cat5, Zigbee, Router, Range Extender and ETC )
- Able to read and understand electrical plans
- Ability to understand or have experience with all AHJ guidelines within region
- Ability to troubleshoot an inverter that is reporting production loss
- Ability to understand or have experience with all types of Solar Equipment (Enphase, Solaredge, Sunpower and ETC )
- Experience in Electrical troubleshooting (Power outage, shorts, faults ETC )
- Understand of battery backup systems (Enphase, LG and ETC )
- Understanding of Standalone Metering equipment (CT for production and consumption)
- Complete RMA’s and log project documentation
- May perform required travel for extended periods at a time
