Compliance Engineer

Compliance Engineers at Lunar Energy will be responsible for ensuring our products meet all applicable product safety standards, coordinating and ushering our products through the certification process, and participating in the standards development to ensure that they are relevant to the leading technology. This includes providing input during the design phases, developing test plans, and working with internal and 3rd party labs to execute the testing. We are looking for people who are passionate about a more sustainable future and want to make that vision a reality. An ideal candidate is someone who is excited to collaborate with a diverse and dedicated team.

On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…

• Collaborate, either in-office or remotely,  with mechanical and electrical engineers across the company to develop specifications and requirements to comply with product safety standards
• Coordinate with Nationally Recognized Test Laboratories (NRTL’s) to conduct the relevant design reviews, Test plans, and provide direction in areas of ambiguity. 
• Identified areas of design risk, develop test criteria, methodologies and performance criteria .
• Coordinate and execute internal pre-compliance testing to ensure the certification process is as smooth as possible
• Participate in standards technical panels and councils to ensure they appropriately account for developing technologies

Desired Skills:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Equivalent.
• Strong experience in product certification to, UL 67, UL 414, UL 1973, UL 9540(A), UL 1741, UL 916, IEEE 1547.
• Comfortable with hands-on work setting up and executing demonstration tests.
• Strong experience in working with Energy Storage and Power Electronics.
• Experience with High Voltage Systems
• Outstanding Organizational and project management skills.

Bonus:  

• Experiences on Standards Technical Panels.
• Experience working with the National Electrical Code (NEC) / NFPA 70 and other Building Codes
• Experience with international product qualification and certification
