What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Coordinators - mid year appointment position at Lunenburg Public Schools?
Four process coordinators sought--one for each school (primary, elementary, middle and high school) for the 2023-2024 school year. Stipend: Per LEA Contract.Duties and Responsibilities: * Serve as school liaison in the coordinating and setting up of Individual Education Program team meetings; * Schedule meetings with staff and Team members (including families and outside agencies) and provide written notices as necessary to the Team and parents to assure compliance with special education regulations; * Notify, collect, and distribute (as needed) all relevant special education paperwork for Individual Education Program team meetings - including re-evaluations and initial evaluations; * Maintain tracking of meetings with Team members and Special Services Office (e.g. central calendar, notices, email, etc.); * Coordinate need for interpreters and translations with the Special Services Office; and * Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Director of Special Services. Qualifications: * Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information and records; * Knowledge, experience and full understanding of the special education Team and evaluation process; * Knowledge of district-wide continuum of services; * Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal special education laws, regulations (in regard to setting up Team meetings) and willingness to implement the special education process; * Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs in the district and specifically your building; * Strong written communication skills; * Capability of prioritizing needs and responding professionally and efficiently to a variety of requests from families, staff, and administration; * Ability to effectively handle issues utilizing a problem-solving approach in a team-based environment; and * Proficiency in, or willingness to learn, Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel), PowerSchool, as well as internet/email for Team/building notification and scheduling purposes.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: NEW > Employee will track their time and hours on a shared spreadsheetSchool Year 2023/2024 year, salary per Collective Bargaining Agreement (LEA).Hiring is subject to satisfactory CORI and SAFIS Background Checks per 603 CMR 51.OTHER: the posting will remain open until a qualified applicant is found.
