ABOUT THIS POSITION
Lutheran Family & Children's Services of Missouri is seeking a compassionate, professional for a Foster Care Case Manager to provide effective supportive counseling and case management to children and families in the foster care system. Provide services in client’s homes, office or community setting. Assess client’s strengths and needs and develop appropriate service plans. Establish and maintain appropriate, current community networks and interactions, in cooperation with program supervisors and staff. Staff in this position will work on some weekends in “on call” status.
They will have the opportunity to provide foster care case management services and supportive counseling to youth in foster care, birth families, adoptive families, as well as families in crisis.
This position may be filled as a Case Manager or Social Worker, depending upon the qualifications of the selected individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Two years’ experience in child welfare, or working with children and families.
Case Manager I: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Guidance Counseling, Drug & Alcohol Counseling or other Human Behavior Science.
Case Manager II: Masters Degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Guidance Counseling, Drug & Alcohol Counseling or other Human Behavior Science.
Social Worker I: Bachelors in Social Work
Social Worker II: Masters in Social Work.
Must be a licensed driver with access to a reliable automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements.
Compensation
