Reporting to the Senior Program Officer, the Program Officer will be responsible for supporting Baltimore city community-based organizations (CBOs) through technical assistance on immigrant and refugee case management. Through a partnership with the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MIMA), LIRS will serve as project manager for the Baltimore New American Access Coalition (BNAAC) which aims to improve access to immigrant and refugee families to an array of public benefits within the city limits. The Program Officer interacts primarily with four Baltimore City CBOs, MIMA, and the newly hired Benefits Navigators who will be trained on case management best practices, navigating different government systems to learn the eligibility criteria based on immigration status. S/He provides critical training and support functions for Benefits Navigators and local CBO field staff to manage BNACC at their respective locations throughout the city. The Program Officer will support the development and standardization of case management for New American Baltimore city residents. They will also develop a sustainable model of client engagement and curriculum to support and cultivate case management best practices.
