As a Senior Maintenance Worker, you will provide maintenance and repair services for multiple residential homes. You will inspect the properties, including furniture and appliances, routinely to check for needed repairs, identify when a repair or maintenance is needed, determine the repair arrangements (i.e. in house repair or an outside service person) and assess and determine the best course of action for ongoing repairs. You will provide or arrange for lawn care and snow removal, purchase tools, supplies, parts and small equipment and provide or perform seasonal maintenance; includes removing storm windows, clearing rain gutters, check and replace furnace/air conditioner/air exchanger filters, clean air vents, maintain sump pump, smoke detectors and other household equipment. You will maintain and service program vehicles, make arrangements for outside maintenance and repairs when appropriate, obtain bids for capital improvements to program properties and complete necessary documentation such as maintenance checklists, mileage reimbursement, work orders, purchases/receipts, purchase card review and other forms as needed. All tasks will be completed with an appreciation that properties are home to people with disabilities.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in electrical, mechanical, and preventative maintenance; may be obtained in trade or draft areas.
- A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Successfully meet the requirements of a background check.
- Computer skills that support LSS technology.
