LSSI is hiring afull-timeHead Nurse.To train and supervise Rule 116 Medication Administration at all CILAS including residential homes and community sites. Monitor all Rule 115 and 116 records for compliance and QI purposes. Ensure that the health and medical needs of the individuals at the assigned CILAS are being met.
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM

Essential Functions:
- Ensure Rule 116 is followed at all sites.
- Provide supervision and training to RN Nurse Trainers on Rule 115 & 116.
- Assist with and be knowledgeable of general health status of residents.
- Review, track and participate in Quality Assurance for all medication errors.
- Audit sites for compliance of Rule 115 and 116.
- Review and update policies and procedures of LSSI and DHS/DDD.
- On call availability for consultation.
- Maintain and review all records for initial and annual Medication Administration training for staff.
- Ensure MARS have all appropriate information monthly.
- Monitor HRST to ensure compliance.
- Provide RN Nurse trainer backup services to sites when site RN is not available.
- Consult program management with regard to delivery of medical services.
- Communicate with outside vendors to ensure clients receive needed care.
- Provide leadership and training as needed to nurses and direct service personnel.
- Ensure sites are complaint with Settings rule regarding healthcare and medications.
- Provide consultation and training to SDS programs (Home Care and Housing) for care plan review on an as needed basis.
- Provide CPR training as needed.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Unencumbered Illinois Professional Registered Nurse license.
- At least 1 year clinical professional experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to become an RN Nurse Trainer through DDD.
- Preferably experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to provide leadership and training to nursing and direct care personnel.
- Basic computer skills.
- Participate in ongoing learning opportunities to keep skills current.
- Valid Illinois driver's license. Requires valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage bodilyinjury, property damage.
