What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRO Buyer-STL position at Luxco?
We are looking to hire a MRO Buyer to join our Luxco team in St. Louis, MO. The MRO Buyer is responsible for purchasing and management of MRO stock inventories. This position will need to manage MRO spend activities to achieve cost savings in the process.
What will you do?
- Manage CMMS program to accurately document movement into and out of spare parts inventory.
- Maintain inventory levels and organization of maintenance spare parts and operational supplies.
- Generate Purchase Orders for MRO goods and services and submit them Vendors.
- Receive deliveries of MRO goods into inventory.
- Prepare MRO invoices for submission to Accounts Payable for processing. Resolve invoice discrepancies with Vendors.
- Perform regular Storeroom cycle counts.
- Track and report on Storeroom KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) monthly.
- Work with the Maintenance Manager and MRO Purchasing Manager to help coordinate all maintenance projects and tasks.
- Pull parts from Storeroom inventory, allocate them to Maintenance Work Orders and stages them for use.
- Works closely with Accounts Payable team to process MRO invoices for payment. Resolves invoice discrepancies with Vendors.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
What do you need to bring to the table?
- Minimum 1 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of production equipment and related parts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain productivity while working independently.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of filling and packaging equipment preferred.
