Seeking a Spa Manager for our luxury boutique spa located in The Nations neighborhood in Nashville.
As Tennessee’s exclusive Biologique Recherche dayspa partner, our clients consist of business professionals, influencers, celebrities, and countless others seeking relaxation, beauty, and self-care in an upscale environment.
The Spa Manager will partner with the Spa Owners to oversee an effective and consistent guest experience throughout the entire spa.
Collaborating effectively with all staff members to ensure that the spa standards and client expectations are continually exceeded is ESSENTIAL.
Being a communicative team player is a MUST.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a full-service spa.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee of all facets of spa and boutique operations
- Participate in the development of staff including the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of all spa staff under the guidance of the Spa Owners
- Participate in the development and implementation of the spa operating budget
- Participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for the spa and for each individual department, in coordination with Spa Owners
- Coordinate and assist in the development of Job Descriptions for all spa positions
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of all spa services and products
- Oversee the scheduling of all spa staff to maximize the availability of staff for appointment requests while mindful of budgetary staffing costs
- Prepare reports weekly regarding inventory, staff statistics, etc to share with Spa Owners in weekly meeting
- Coordinate with all vendors and contracted professionals as necessary to ensure smooth and successful functioning of the spa and boutique, e.g., maintenance, accounting, purchasing, marketing, public relations, etc.
- Resolve guest complaints in a manner which promotes positive guest retention
- Train staff in developing and maintaining effective guest relations and hospitality
- Conduct continuous daily walk-throughs and report any concerns to be addressed in a timely manner
- Coordinate with other reception staff to ensure that the facility is constantly in clean and working order, cleaning and doing laundry as needed
- Oversee retail inventory and purchasing
- Maintain the confidentiality of all luxe & luna proprietary information and ensure that the spa staff does the same
- Maintain accurate luxe & luna information and ensure that spa staff is well-informed through daily communication
- Must be able to work an occasional weekend and fill in when other staff are sick or on vacation.
Skills and Experience:
- Spa or Salon management experience in an upscale level salon, spa, hotel, resort, health club, or private club
- Experienced in client relations, customer service
- Strong administrative and management skills, including development and management of an operating budget
- Experienced in managing a staff of at least 8 people
- Warm, enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal, team leadership and guest relations skills
- Background in the Spa & Salon industry preferred
Education:
- 4-year college degree preferred, but combination of education and relevant position training and experience will be considered.
Compensation is based on qualifications including experience and education
