What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook Day Shift position at Luxor Healthcare?
Rosewood Health and Rehab is proud of our 5-Star rating for quality of care. Cooks are an important part of the Dietary team here at The Groves. Cooks are responsible for the preparation of all meals served to residents and staff. Cooks report to the Director of Dietary Services. This is for Evening Shift.
Duties, include but are not limited to:
- Read menu, plan cooking schedule to have food ready for timely service.
- food aPrepare ccording to standardized recipes.
- Wash, peel. cut, trim vegetables, fruits, or meat.
- Bake, roast, stew, or steam cooks meat or vegetables.
- Check food temperature at each meal, test foods by taste and smell to determine if properly cooked and seasoned before service.
- Clean preparation equipment before leaving work area; wash pots, pans, sinks, or other related cleaning duties as assigned.
- Work on preparation for the next day’s menu.
Qualifications:
- Must present work history that includes cooking experience in an institutional or commercial setting.
- Must demonstrate an excellent record of attendance and timeliness.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
