GENERAL FUNCTION
The Optician Recruiter is responsible for ensuring that all assigned open positions are filled with qualified candidates in an efficient and timely manner. Recruiting efforts include candidate sourcing, screening, applicant tracking, interviewing, and other recruiting activities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source, screen, interview candidates while complying with corporate policies and government legal regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with brand partner managers to achieve required staffing levels
- Mine news and key websites for Optician intelligence
- Create and drive strong sourcing efforts
- Support corporate recruiting activities
- Develop and maintain a network of diverse industry contacts
- Maintain understanding of innovative recruitment tools, technologies and best practices
- Participate in recruiting, HR and Enterprise initiatives
- Understand the strategic plans of Luxottica COE Recruiting Team and its brands
- Identify viable Opticians and sources using research tools
- Create Optician talent pipeline, assist with Optician career planning for mulitiple locations, and Optician sourcing for high potential current Luxottica Opticians
- Maintain written documentation to internal partners (status reports, weekly update emails, thank you notes, etc.)
- Partner with Regional leaders to assist with transition and onboarding for new Opticians
- Provide substantive and competency-based feedback to all prospects
- Remain well versed in the value and employment proposition of Luxottica and its brands. Articulate that proposition(s) both verbally and in writing
- Maintain complete understanding of Business Affiliation and Value Proposition
- Create a stellar Optician experience
- Identify and anticipates Optician needs and follow issues to closure
- Collaborate across the business (Regional Managers, COE, HR, etc.) to maximize Optician satisfaction
- Collaborate with the Brand Parnter Regional Team to create and deliver a comprehensive, compelling and balanced affiliation; differentiate Luxottica’s affiliation/offer from others
- Demonstrate in-depth awareness of employment laws and industry regulations; knows when to engage legal or key business partners for support
- Build long-term and meaningful Optician relationships
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and Recruiting Software Programs
- 2 years’ professional experience, including experience for a large retailer, medical/healthcare or technical experience in recruiting or business role
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with internet search tools and techniques
- Ability to travel (overnight) 30% of time within a defined geography
- Ability to work independently
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Strong follow-up skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years business or recruitment experience in Retail and/or Healthcare
- Proven track record of delivering key metrics in recruiting
- Experience with CRM system
- Knowledge of various practice modalities: Corporate, Private, Medical, etc.
- Knowledge in the optical industry with dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Detailed knowledge of national and state optician laws and regulations
- Optician license
