As a Housekeeping Supervisor/ Inspector your primary responsibility is to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the housekeeping department. Your duties may include:
- Staff management: training and supervising housekeeping staff members, including room attendants, housekeepers, and janitors.
- Inspect rooms after each cleaning, and all checkouts.
- Scheduling: Creating work schedules and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Task assignment: Assigning specific cleaning tasks and responsibilities to staff members, ensuring that rooms, public areas, and other designated areas are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.
- Training and development: Providing training to new employees and conducting regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of existing staff.
- Quality control: Ensuring that cleaning standards and procedures are consistently followed and that the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the facility.
- Inventory management: Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens, and coordinating with the purchasing department to replenish stock as needed.
- Inspections: Conducting regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with established standards.
- Equipment maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment, reporting any issues to the appropriate department.
