Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties
- Perform industrial cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct custodial duties such as dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Execute floor care procedures including buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of hard surfaces.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to enhance facility aesthetics.
- Act as a porter by ensuring that common areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Support commercial cleaning efforts by following established protocols for various environments.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with facilities maintenance staff to address any repairs or maintenance needs.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of floor care practices including buffing and waxing.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
