Production Worker (Temporary)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Rubber mould cleaning, inspection, and documentation.
• Operational control of mould cleaning, PVA application, and mould drying oven equipment.  Responsible for quality control.
• Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications.  Reject product outside of specifications.
• Detailed cleaning of all applicable areas during product color changes.
• Communicate with other Operators, Assistant Shift Leaders and Shift Leader.  Ensure a clean and safe work area.
• Complete shift paper work.
• Assist in production as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all co-workers and leadership
• Ability to physically operate mixing and/or calendar or other related machinery and equipment
• Self-motivated with an ability to work at a fast and efficient pace
• Ability to read and understand information stated on work orders in English
• Ability to perform workplace math skills, such as measurements and adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing whole numbers with or without decimals and fractions
• Display a positive attitude toward safety practices and procedures to insure personal safety and the safety of others, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Physical Demands:

• Walking, standing, crouching, kneeling, bending, and/or stretching for extended periods of time, up to 10-12 hours per day
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work under variable environmental conditions within the plant, such as: temperature instability in sections of the plant, atmospheric conditions; including fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, vapors, or noise

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
