Job Description
Lynker is seeking an experienced and talented IT Project Manager, to join our growing company, and help support a long term contract with NOAA. The Project Manager must provide on-site coordination of the on-site support work, act as a primary interface between the Government and Contractor personnel, and be highly skilled in reviewing complex documents and providing informative summaries that include all relevant material.
Duties of the IT Project Manager will include the Following:
- The IT Project Manager will track multiple ongoing networking projects activities and maintain multiple mechanisms for tracking and reporting progress.
- Provide daily support with regards to management of programs to senior staff, meeting, planning, participate in meetings and capture meeting minutes.
- Maintain electronic project files.
- Prepare briefings for senior management.
- Oversee delivery of quad charts, and formal project plans in accordance with Project Management Institute standards.
- Track contractor's performance against their project plan and Gantt chart.
- Establish risk mitigation plans and remediation plans when contractors are behind schedule.
- Review documents submitted by contractors, and assist in preparing and reviewing requirements documents.
The IT Project Manager selected MUST have the Following:
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering, or System Network Design.
- The IT Project Manager selected must have working knowledge and technical skills with the networking technologies and processes mentioned above, and be able to understand high level routing and switching within an enterprise network.
The Ideal IT Project Manager will have the Following:
- The ideal IT Program Manager shall have an advanced degree (e.g. M.S. or Ph.D.) from an accredited institution in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- The ideal IT Program Manager will have 10 years of technical experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, enhancement, and operations of enterprise IT systems.
- 5 years of experience in program/project management is ideal.
- Previous program/project management for government contracts is a BIG PLUS.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a BIG PLUS.
